Why we built Lastly

Documentation matters. It should not cost the conversation it describes.

In social work and care, the conversation is the work. People say things they would not say to anyone else, and too much of that time is spent looking down, typing, trying to catch the words before they are gone.

Many tools work by sending the conversation somewhere else. For documentation about people in vulnerable situations, we think that is the wrong trade.

So Lastly listens, drafts and suggests on hardware the organisation controls, shows where every suggestion came from and leaves every judgement with the professional. It is built in Denmark, in Danish first, around the forms and methods you already use.

Presence first

The person in the room comes before the form on the screen.

People decide

Lastly suggests. A professional approves every word that lands in a form.

Their words stay theirs

Every line is marked with who said it, so the person's own words are never blurred into the professional's.

Fit, not force

Your forms, methods, vocabulary and steps shape Lastly, not the other way round.
